HEJDÅ (BYE) - gestured
first interjection. first evidence that he understood a swedish word. he waved 'bye' when i said 'hejdå' leaving a store. he hadn't yet waved 'bye' when i'd said 'BYE' in english.

DADDY - said /daa daa/
first proper name. he starting saying 'dada' a month or two earlier, but it wasn't clear that he was referring to his daddy until now.

first english word! first in reference to beach grandma's 'nick,' then in reference to 'monty.'

TA DEN (take it)
first spoken word, first swedish word, and first request. said to my swedish teacher when he handed her an object. at first, it was a lucky coincidence, but he quickly learned that the words was linked to the action and began using it at home regularly.
